2006 FeedbackIn 2006, I ran a prediction competition for the World Cup, garnering 17 entires (including myself), which was quite fun :) 8 of these people responded to the feedback email I sent at the end of the competition - a 50% response rate. Here are the results of the feedback. Q1 - What did you think of the basic scoring system?3 x Really liked, 2 x Pretty Good, 2x Didn't look into it but seemed OK, 1 x Didn't look into it but seemed wrong. I also had a comment saying "I liked how there were a plethora of ways of getting points" - also worth noting that the only negative response was from soneone who finished quite low in the rankings! Q2 - What did you think of the points being doubled in the knockout stages?4 x Great, 4 x Netural (The other options were Good, Not great and didn't like it at all). Q3 - What did you think of the hot picks system?3 x - Great, 3 x Good, 1 x Netural, 1 x Didn't like it at all ("Didn't have time to understand"). Someone also criticsed the choice of Portugal as apparent outsiders - however I took the ordering of the hot picks from a neutral source - a bookmaker's website. Etc. etc... Average production score - 7.875 out of 10. Average "fun" score - 7.125 out of 10. |
