Getting to Oxford by coachFrom LondonLondon and Oxford are linked by 2 very frequent coach services - I once heard somewhere that it's the most frequent coach service in the world! The coach takes about 100 minutes normally, though outside of peak times it can be faster. Each of the companies have coaches leaving every 10-15 minutes at peak times, and even every hour through the night. You have a choice of Oxford Express or The Oxford Tube. The standard adult return ticket for either of these is £13. If you don't mind restricting yourself to which coach you catch, and book in advance, you can buy a Megabus ticket for as little as £2.50 return. Unlike other megabus routes, this doesn't mean you will be on a cheap uncomfortable bus - you actually go on the Oxford Tube coaches! From Cambridge, Bedford or Milton KeynesCatch the X5 coach - a lot quicker and cheaper if you are coming from any of these destinations than the alternative of getting a train into London and then out again. If coming from Cambridge, you might be able to get even cheaper tickets via the megabus website. From elsewhereCoach links from elsewhere in the country to Oxford aren't so great, and we'd probably recommend you catch the train instead. However, it is still possible to get the coach to Oxford if you want - have a look on the National Express website if you want. Getting from the coach station to the churchAll coaches will terminate at the main Gloucester Green station. It's only a short walk from there to the church - follow the map below. |
